Job Title: Home Furnishing Design and Fabrication
Compensation: Unpaid - Interns have full use of the workshop for their own work after regular work hours
Availability: All Seasons

Company Overview: Keeseh Studio designs furniture, interiors, products, and gadgets, both of its own initiative and through commissions. Commissions come from the business community, the furniture industry and from private persons. The ability to collaborate extends beyond the studio walls to embrace the clients, vendors, and surrounding community. Interns will also be involved in Keeseh’s newest pursuit www.studiodunn.com.

Job Description: Keeseh is seeking enthusiastic and talented interns with a keen sense of furniture design and great craftsmanship. You will be responsible for assisting in the shop, design development, helping with both digital and material models, prototyping, and working on finished pieces for clients. Quality designs are our priority. You will have an opportunity to learn how a design-and-build company operates. The intern will work directly with the designers in a close-knit team and open studio environment with the ability to work on multiple projects. The position has a lot of independence and responsibility. You’ll be able to take credit and have the satisfaction of knowing much of the process was your own creation.

Requirements/Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have an easygoing personality, quirky, a good sense of humor, organized, self motivated, responsible, innovative, great communication skills, and the ability to adjust well to the flow of the workplace and deadlines. You should be able to convey your ideas through sketches and Adobe Creative Suites. We are looking for an individual with a detail-oriented approach to all aspects of work. The intern should have good problem solving skills, willingness to try new techniques, and push materials. Woodworking and Metal working are a plus but not required.
