Digital modeling and digital fabrication have become mainstream tools for designers, fabricators, and builders. CNC tools allow small businesses and individuals to prototype and automate part production; much like large scale manufacturers. CNC routers in particular are able to sculpt 3d form with unprecedented precision and repeatability. Proper use of these tools requires a refined set of skills. Students in this class will learn how to export and cut a file or shop drawing. Participants will program the CNC router by writing tool paths then execute these paths using the CNC router.
